Our Four Pillars

The year-round development pathway for every role in bull riding.

NextGen is a 501(c)(3) foundation, not another “World Finals” with no support. We are a national, year-round program that trains and mentors athletes and leaders across the sport: bull riders, bullfighters, safety men, stock contractors, announcers, judges, production teams, and marketers. The NextGen way builds strong athletes and good stewards of life, ready to take on any challenge.

  • Development first, event second. Local teams train weekly under professional coaches, using proven systems, reinforced with take-home workouts, mental skills, and character coaching.
  • One standard, coast to coast. We publish and teach a common curriculum so every region learns the same fundamentals and advanced techniques.
  • Safer, smarter competition. We prioritize age-appropriate stock, humane handling, concussion education, and EMT readiness.
  • A real pipeline. Camps, practices, and sanctioned events move athletes from fundamentals to national ride-offs—finals are the outcome, not the product.

These four funds— Stock Contractors Fund, Athlete Fund, Training Fund, and Event Fund—are the pillars upon which the NextGen Foundation, in partnership with the PBR Rider Development group, is building a national movement to develop safer, smarter, professional athletes.

  • Training Fund: ensures equal access to convert curriculum into measurable event performance – training coaches, stock contractors, and all athletes involved in the sport.
  • Athlete Fund: reduces travel and equipment burden so families can provide the NextGen Foundation’s training programs to athletes in need.
  • Stock Contractors Fund: ensures youth-appropriate, humane stock calibrated to divisions so learning transfers to performance.
  • Event Fund: transforms training into professional, repeatable stages—safe, well-produced events with certified judges, on-site medical, and broadcast-ready storytelling so athletes can showcase real growth all season.
