Who we are: Next Generation Bull Riding Foundation (“NextGen,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates programs, events, and digital properties (including our website and official social pages) that support youth development in western sports.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, to whom we disclose it (and how), and the safeguards we use to protect it. By using our website or participating in our programs, you agree to this Policy.

A. Information you provide directly

  • Contact & Account Data: name, email, phone, address, organization, role, emergency contact.
  • Participant Data: rider/participant name and age, parent/guardian info, shirt sizes, team affiliation, program selections, event registrations, waivers and releases.
  • Payment/Transaction Data: amount, date, limited payment details processed via our payment providers (we do not store full payment card numbers).
  • Communications: messages sent to us (email, forms), survey responses, testimonials.
  • Media & Submissions: photos, videos, stories, or other content you provide or authorize us to use.

B. Information collected automatically

  • Usage Data: IP address, device/browser type, pages visited, referring/exit pages, timestamps.
  • Cookies & Similar Technologies: to remember preferences, enable site functionality, analyze traffic, and measure campaigns.

C. Information from third parties

  • Service Providers & Partners: payment processors, email tools, analytics platforms.

3) To Whom We Disclose Information (and Method of Disclosure)

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information as follows:

A. Service Providers (Processors).
Trusted vendors who perform services for us (e.g., payment processing, email delivery, analytics, web hosting, video platforms, background IT support).
Method: access is provided on a need-to-know basis via secure logins, encrypted transfers, or platform integrations subject to confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

B. Event Partners & Co-Hosts.
Venues, fairs, rodeo associations, or production partners to run registrations, credentials, scheduling, safety, and awards.
Method: securely shared rosters or reports (encrypted files, secure portals) limited to event operations; where required, we obtain consent.

C. Sponsors & Media (with consent or as permitted by releases).
Name, team, and images may appear in event programs, leaderboards, broadcasts, livestreams, websites, and social media in line with media releases you sign.
Method: approved creative assets, press kits, or controlled file transfers; we share only what’s necessary and authorized.

D. Legal, Safety, and Insurance.
Where required by law, subpoena, insurance claims, or to protect rights, property, safety of participants and the public.
Method: direct secure transmission to authorities/insurers per legal standards.

E. Business Transitions.
If we undergo a reorganization or affiliation change, information may transfer consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

We may share aggregated or de-identified data (which does not identify individuals) for reporting and program evaluation.


4) Security Practices

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including:

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and reputable hosting environments.
  • Access controls & least-privilege: role-based access, unique credentials, and logging.

Parents/guardians can review or direct deletion of their child’s information by contacting us (see Section 10).

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to:

  • deliver requested services and operate events,
  • comply with legal, tax, and insurance obligations,
  • resolve disputes, and
  • maintain program integrity (e.g., eligibility, safety records).

When no longer needed, information is deleted or de-identified in accordance with our retention schedule and applicable laws.


8) Cookies, Analytics, and Third-Party Links

  • We use cookies and analytics (e.g., to evaluate traffic and improve content).
  • Third-party links (sponsors, partners, social media) operate under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party practices; review their policies before providing data.
